a bit weird and mystical..but plenty entertaining. the story just draws you in andl you find yourself not being able to put down the book until you've reached the last page.

i loved this book. it's so beautifully written. I haven't seen the movie yet so i dont know if it stayed faithfull to the book. you'll sympathize with all the characters and their stories.

Beautiful, beautiful book. had me crying within the first few pages of the story. so touching and heart-breaking, but full of compassion for the human spirit. Hosseini writes so beautifully your emotions could easily identify with his words. I will always remember the book's most memorable line..."for you a thousand times over"...

Brilliant. laugh-out-loud funny. and yet gritty. it's quite difficult to read at first ( had several attempts at starting to read it) but the story eventually all came together. a classic i will read again and again.
